Resources
The resulting panel points were so useful that we have archived them. On the Forums page you will find a list of the Forum topics linking to descriptions of each Forum and the panelists' key points on the topic. The final Forum in May was designed to bring together some of the leaders of the green home industry. It was a gathering of over 60 professionals from different green building sectors (policy, building, design, finance, real estate, non-profit agencies, education, and development) discussing what is needed to move green building forward in the region. The May Forum report on "The Future of Green Homes in Portland, Oregon", is an important statement of what these sectors believe is necessary for the future of green homes.
You will also find a lot of useful information and resources on the websites of the organizers of the Green Home Forum.
Format
Each forum was a 20 minute presentation of key issues by a panel of green home professionals (5 min. each) followed by 60 minutes of small-group interactive discussions, broken into two sessions. We highly recommend this format, as we got consistent feedback from the participants on how useful it was.
